Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
Welcome to the official website of the Calgary Men's / Ladies / Coed Slo-Pitch League ("CMLC"). By accessing or using our website, digital schedules, and team application portals (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website.
Terms of Use
1. Intellectual Property & Proprietary Data
All content published on this website—including text, graphics, logos, custom league rules, schedules, tournament structures, codes of conduct, and historical game results—is the intellectual property of CMLC and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.
- You may view, download, and print schedules or rules for personal, non-commercial team use only.
- You may not scrape, reproduce, redistribute, republish, or use our league data or content for commercial purposes or third-party sports applications without explicit written consent from the CMLC Executive Team.
2. Weather, Field Closures, and Limitation of Liability
The schedules, tournament brackets, and league updates provided on this website are for general operational and informational purposes. While the CMLC Executive Team makes every effort to post real-time updates regarding inclement weather, sudden daylight constraints, air quality alerts, or emergency field closures at Jaycee Park, website notices are subject to logistical delays.
- On-Field Decisions Take Precedence: Official cancellation or delay decisions made on-site by league coordinators, executives, or umpires at the diamonds supersede any information currently published or missing on this website.
- Team Responsibility: It remains the responsibility of team captains and players to confirm final game statuses through official league communication channels or at the fields if a formal website alert has not yet been issued.
- Liability Waiver: CMLC is not legally or financially liable for any travel, logistical disruptions, errors, or losses resulting from technical downtime or delayed weather/closure postings on this platform.
3. Team Fees and Weather-Related Refunds
The CMLC is a non-profit organization that budgets season expenses—including city diamond rentals, insurance, equipment, and administrative overhead—prior to the start of the playing season.
- Payment Methods: The league accepts payments exclusively via Interac E-transfer, cash, or cheque. The league does not collect or process credit card data directly through this website.
- No Refunds for Cancellations: Team registration fees are completely non-refundable in the event of game cancellations due to inclement weather, unplayable field conditions, poor air quality, or sudden daylight constraints.
- Schedule Accommodations: The league executive team will make reasonable operational efforts to reschedule lost regular-season games or adjust playoff formats (such as moving postseason brackets to weekends) to ensure maximum play, but a specific number of completed games is not guaranteed.
- Park Infrastructure Force Majeure: Fees are vital to maintaining Jaycee Park infrastructure. No partial or full refunds will be issued if parts of the park facility experience emergency closures or unexpected utility/infrastructure service disruptions.
4. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external platforms, park association updates, or provincial sports organizations. CMLC does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices, terms, or content of these external third-party sites.
5. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
6. Modifications to Terms
CMLC reserves the right to modify these terms at any time to reflect software changes, league policy updates, or provincial sports guidelines. Continued use of the website following changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
